The Opportunity

Maglie Palace is a heritage redevelopment project involving a historic late-19th-century property located in Piazza Capece, the principal historic square of Maglie, in the heart of Salento.

The asset is currently being evaluated for repositioning into a luxury boutique hospitality destination comprising approximately 22 keys, while preserving its architectural identity and historical significance.

The Legacy — An Italian Story

For over seventy years, the Albergo Salento was the place where the political life of Southern Italy met hospitality — a crossroads of statesmen, leaders of the Italian First Republic, and home to Aldo Moro himself.

Built between the late 19th and early 20th century in Piazza Capece — the historic and institutional heart of Maglie — the Albergo Salento was for decades the "Grand Hotel" of the Italian political South and its European guests: a venue of state representation, gala banquets, and curated élite hospitality.

Today, that heritage is awaiting its next chapter. Maglie Palace is not a renovation — it is the institutional repositioning of an iconic asset into a luxury heritage hospitality destination for the international traveller.

The Asset

A late-19th-century palace.
A contemporary hospitality vision.

Approximately 2,500 sqm gross distributed across four levels plus basement and rooftop, located in the institutional heart of Maglie. Lecce limestone, monumental access, vaulted spaces, internal courtyard.

The redevelopment vision preserves the historic façade and repositions the palace as a luxury boutique destination with approximately twenty-two suites, rooftop spaces, lounges and cultural venues.
